Pilot Medical Update: Round 26

The Sydney Roosters Squad has been assessed following the Club’s Round 26 NRL match against the Raiders.

Sam Walker suffered a non-contact left ACL rupture in the 12th minute of the game. He will undergo reconstructive surgery later this week.

Brandon Smith sustained a contact right MCL and ACL injury in the 38th minute of the game. He will initially be braced, and a decision will be made in the coming weeks regarding operative management.

Victor Radley suffered a fracture to his left scapula in the game’s 50th minute. He will commence non-operative management and will be reviewed by a shoulder specialist.

Nat Butcher was removed from the field for a Head Injury Assessment in the second half and was subsequently diagnosed with concussion. He will commence the NRL’s mandatory 11-day stand-down period.

There were no other injury concerns for the other players that featured in the match.
