The Sydney Roosters, through our partnership with the LA Roosters, are thrilled to announce that the LA Roosters will enter both the men’s and women’s teams into the highly anticipated NRL Las Vegas Nines Tournament at the end of this month.
This partnership emphasises the Roosters’ commitment to expanding the game of rugby league internationally and showcasing talent from both Australia and the USA.
Sydney Roosters CEO, Joe Kelly, expressed his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking collaboration.
“Entering the NRL Las Vegas Nines Tournament alongside the LA Roosters is not just an opportunity; it's a significant step forward for both our clubs. We are excited to showcase the immense talent within our teams and the growing popularity of rugby league in the United States. This partnership reflects our dedication to nurturing rugby league at all levels and introducing the exciting Nines format to new fans,” said Mr Kelly.
“Furthermore, we are very pleased to announce that our dual NRLW Premiership-winning coach John Strange will be on had to lend his expertise and support to the Female Nines team, ensuring they have every opportunity to succeed,” he added.
The NRL Las Vegas Nines Tournament will mark a pivotal moment for both teams as they compete on a global stage.
